Population Registration Service Held at SMAN 8 Jakarta

As many as 93 students of SMAN 8 Jakarta, Bukit Duri Urban Village, Tebet Sub-district, South Jakarta participated the mobile population registration service.

Tebet Sub-district's Population and Civil Registration Sector Head, Lydia, said the e-ID card recording for students is held to respond Act No 23/2007 about Population Administration.

Lydia explained that the recording of the 16-year-old student's e-KTP includes biometric recording consisting of fingerprints, photos, corneas, and signature recording.
"Students were enthusiast to participate in the service. There were 6 students recording e-ID card, 15 students activating IKD, and two students getting e-ID card symbolically," she explained.
She hoped that various efforts made can accelerate the 100 percent population document ownership for residents.
It is also expected that the early data recording can change the student mindset about population administration which was difficult to be fast easy, and free.
"This mobile service will be continued to be held to reach the target," she added.
Meanwhile, one of SMAN 8 students, Muhammad Atharrizky Andria (16), thanked the Population and Civil Registration Agency for providing this mobile service.
"It eases us to get our population document such e-ID card," he admitted.
